The university places are assigned through the central body "Hochschulstart" The following criteria are essential:1.Cypriot Apolitirion with very good overall average grade (certified translation to german required) or three GCS A-levels (A-grades) and one AS-level. 2.Language Certificate DSH or TestDaF (at least level four in all four areas) 3.main subjects (Apolitirion): Chemistry/Physics/Biology or Mathematics Distribution of univerity places:20% students with the best school leaving certificates (overall grade higher than 19.5) 20% overall average grade and waiting period 60% overall grade in general and scientific subjects; further criteria like personal interviews, practical experience or an entry-level test may be requested by the respective university. Closing date for applications:Winter semester: 15 July Summer semester: 15 January How much will it cost per semester for a foreign student? German universities are generally state funded except two federal states (At Bavaria's and Lower Saxony's univerities there is a fee of € 500 max. per semester.
